Stacie Huculak is an emerging artist based in Toronto, Ontario. In 2014, she received a Bachelor of Arts, Double Honours with High Honours in Studio Art and Art History from the University of Saskatchewan. Maintaining a modest studio practice in her apartment, Huculak draws large-scale figures in charcoal and pastel, embroiders flora and fauna, and manipulates found papers into new three-dimensional forms. She draws inspiration from emotion, the human condition, social justice, and the wildlife and nature of her northern upbringing. Recently she was a member of the Bridge City Needle Arts Guild, and snail mail pen-pals with her grandma. Currently, she works at an aquarium and has no idea what to do with her life.
